Funksjonshemmede i jobb – hvem sin business er det?
Invitation to conference 1st December 2016
Disability inclusive employment – whose business is it?
Welcome to this one-day conference marking the UN’s international day of persons with disabilities
Time and place: 1st December 2016, 09:00 – 15:00, at Oslo Congress Centre, Youngsgate 1.
With Jon Lomøy (Norad), Stefan Trômel (ILO), Ingrid Ihme (Telenor), Bård Andreassen (Norwegian Centre for Human Rights) and Debra Ruh (Ruh Global Communications)
Many of the world’s one billion persons with disabilities experience exclusion from employment and working life. They represent a source of untapped potential according to the International Labour Organisation (ILO). The 2030 Agenda and the UN Sustainable Development Goals give the international community, including States, private businesses and civil society, the impetus it needs to work together to generate inclusive work opportunities.
The key questions addressed during the conference are:
- How can the private sector contribute to decent work and inclusive job creation for persons living with disabilities, in developed and developing countries alike?
- What can we learn from innovative businesses’ disability inclusion practices?
- How will disability inclusion in the labour market advance inclusive sustainable development and growth?
Details on further speakers and programme will follow shortly. To secure your place at the conference, please sign up here: http://www.jus.uio.no/smr/om/aktuelt/arrangementer/2016/disability.html
