The period of April-June was heavily characterized by the restrictions imposed over the country due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The restrictions resulted in the suspension of project activities after the launch and with the first recorded cases of contamination, a state of emergency was decreed over the whole of Niger including isolation of Niamey and restrictive measures such as the closure of schools, prohibition of assembly, social distancing etc.) that systematically prevented most activities. There was a normalisation period at the end of May. It was only in June 2020 that the schools were re-opened, some restrictions were lifted and activities on the ground could resume. Here are some examples of what some of the organizations have been doing.
